UPDATE: Fall River Police investigating after man seriously injured in Sunday shooting
The Fall River Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting Sunday.
A call came in just after 2:00 a.m. for a man who was at Charlton Memorial Hospital who had been shot.
According to Sergeant J.T. Hoar, Fall River Police responded to Charlton Memorial Hospital to speak with an apparent gun shot victim. Police spoke with the 28 year old victim who was suffering from a gun shot wound to his abdomen area. Officers attempted to speak to him regarding the incident and he was uncooperative. He provided no suspect information and also would not provide a location of where he was shot.
The male victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital in stable but serious condition.
At this time this incident remains under investigation and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Major Crimes Division or anonymous tips are accepted by calling 508-672-TIPS.
