Fall River police officer pleads not guilty to list of charges
A Fall River police officer, who was indicted this morning on multiple charges, has been arraigned.
According to WPRI 12, Michael Pessoa pleaded not guilty this afternoon to all charges.
Pessoa’s bail was set at $50,000 with surety. The Fall River officer also turned over all of his police property and credentials.
The next court date has been scheduled for August 14.
Fall River recently had to pay out $225,000 to settle a case that claimed Pessoa fractured a city man’s leg in October 2014.
