Church celebrates first service at new location at former Swansea Mall
A local church celebrated their first service on Easter at their new location. Well, almost.
His Providence Church hosted their congregation outside of the former Macy’s at the Swansea Mall Sunday despite the weather.
Due to the church not being allowed yet to have service at their new location, they lined the parking lot with row after row of seats to celebrate Easter. Breakfast was served beforehand outdoors as well.
According to the His Providence Church Facebook page, the renovations on the inside of the former department store appear to be complete.
What will happen to the rest of the former mall is still up in the air as an online auction taking bids for the mall has been postponed twice and is now scheduled to take place towards the end of the month.
