A Fall River business has announced that they will soon be closing their doors.
The Agriculturalist, the cannabis dispensary at 1 Lewiston St., will close after opening in June of 2025.
The company sent a message to their distribution list saying it will close within the next several weeks. The company thanked customers for their visits and support, vendor partners and local businesses for collaborations and events, and the Fall River community for welcoming the shop. It said the goal was to be more than a dispensary: part of the community, with genuine relationships and a place where people felt welcome.
The Agriculturalist also encouraged people to vote no on question 8. The proposed law would change the type and amount of marijuana that may legally be possessed in Massachusetts by repealing the laws that legalize, regulate, and tax the retail sale of adult recreational use marijuana in Massachusetts.
It is currently unclear what will become of the property.
