The U.S. Marshals Service District of Massachusetts, Massachusetts State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Malden Police announced the arrest of a Massachusetts man who was wanted on human trafficking, kidnapping, and indecent assault and battery charges stemming from allegations that a woman was held against her will and sexually abused for approximately six weeks.
Jordende Pierre was arrested in Malden on Thursday by members of the USMS DMA, MSP Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, and Malden Police Department.
According to Malden Police, officers responded to a residence in Malden after receiving a call from a landlord. The investigation resulted in the discovery of a woman who allegedly had been held against her will and sexually abused for approximately six weeks.
On Wednesday, Malden District Court issued an arrest warrant for Pierre on charges of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, kidnapping, and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older.
“The allegations in this case are deeply disturbing. No person should ever be subjected to the violence, exploitation, and loss of freedom alleged here,” said Dennis Matulewicz, head of the USMS for the District of Massachusetts. “When someone is accused of preying upon another person in this manner, the U.S. Marshals Service and our law enforcement partners will work relentlessly to find them and bring them before the court. I commend the outstanding coordination of our federal, state, and local partners that led to this swift arrest.”
USMS DMA Fugitive Task Force participants include the USMS DMA, MSP, Boston Police, Brockton Police, Cambridge Police, Chicopee Police, Hampden County Sheriff’s Department, Haverhill Police, Lowell Police, Middlesex Sheriff’s Department, New Bedford Police, Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department, Quincy Police, Randolph Police, Rochester Police, Springfield Police, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, West Springfield Police, Worcester Police, Massachusetts National Guard Counter Drug Program, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
NBC 10 Boston is reporting that prosecutors said a woman was found naked and malnourished on a mat in the attic of a multifamily home on Summer Street, living in squalor with a five-gallon bucket of urine nearby. Middlesex County Assistant District Attorney Jacob McCrindle said she was dirty and had clearly not eaten. Authorities alleged Pierre met her through a dating app, gave her drugs while she struggled with substance abuse, sexually assaulted her, and forced her to have sexual encounters with other men who came to the property.
Pierre is currently being held.
The USMS reminds the public that criminal charges and allegations are accusations, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
