Authorities have identified a young man who died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash this week.
According to police, on Tuesday just after 4:15 p.m., officers of the Coventry Police Department along with Western Coventry and Central Coventry Fire Departments responded to Harkney Hill Rd. near Camp Westwood Rd. for a report of a serious motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two vehicles were involved in a nearly head on collision. Each vehicle was occupied with single occupant. One operator who is now being identified as Liam Stahlbush a 21-year-old man from Sterling Ct., sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Kent County Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased.
The other operator was also transported to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries.
There are no pending charges for this operator at this time.
The accident is being investigated by the Coventry Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
