
A Bristol County man already facing charges in another state is facing a new drug charge.
According to Rhode Island State Police, at 2:25 p.m. on Sunday, Troopers arrested 40-year-old Nicholas Stevens of Rehoboth, Massachusetts for Possession of a Schedule I-V – Controlled Substance – Ten Grams or Less (Crack Cocaine).
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 146 in the Town of North Smithfield.
Stevens was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake Center where he was held and had arraignment at Sixth District Court where he was presented as a probation violator.
Stevens was arrested in early August as a fugitive from justice out of Connecticut and was held without bail.
