Winter Weather Advisory issued for south coast of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut ahead of snow storm

Accumulating snow across all of southern New England is expected to drop this weekend, especially on the coast.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the south coast of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday until 7:00 p.m. Sunday.

The bulk of the accumulating snow will fall very late Saturday night into Sunday morning which coincides with the time period of the advisory. Snow may linger into Sunday afternoon across far southeast New England and potentially into Sunday evening for the Cape and Nantucket.

2-4 inches are expected.

Plan on slippery road conditions especially for those who are traveling Sunday morning.
