60-year-old driver cited, transported to hospital, after rollover crash in Fall River’s south end
A south end rollover crash in Fall River this week resulted in a driver being cited and injured.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, on Wednesday, at just after 6:45 p.m., units responded to the area of 16 Bay Street in response to a report of a motor vehicle collision with roll-over.
Upon arrival, officers observed that a Honda CRV had in fact rolled over in the roadway. The operator, a 60-year-old male exited the vehicle under his own power before officers arrived. He explained that he had been travelling on Bay Street when his vision was disrupted by the sun. He struck a vehicle which had been parked and unoccupied on Bay Street. The collision with the parked motor vehicle caused his vehicle to roll over.
The operator was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for medical evaluation.
He was cited for a marked lane violation.
