6 displaced after fire at residential dwelling in Fall River’s north end

The Fall River Fire Department made quick work of a blaze Monday evening that left several city residents displaced.

According to Fire Chief Roger St. Martin, a call came in just before 7:00 p.m. for a fire on the second floor of a residential home at 165 Rock Street.

Minutes later, 3 engines, 2 ladders, and one heavy rescue arrived at the scene under the command of Acting District Fire Chief Picard.

St. Martin stated that the fire was under control in approximately 20 minutes and 6 people have been displaced due to the blaze.

Substantial fire and smoke damage occurred on the second floor with water damage on the first floor.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
