WEST YARMOUTH, Mass. – A motorcyclist was seriously injured early Saturday morning following a crash on Route 28 near the Parker’s River Bridge.
Yarmouth Police Officers arrived on scene to find the 25-year-old motorcycle operator on the ground suffering from serious injuries. The motorcycle was found nearby in bushes on the roadside.
Members of the Yarmouth Fire Department performed life saving measures before transporting the operator to Cape Cod Gateway Airport where Boston MedFlight transported the patient to a Rhode Island Hospital.
The roadway had recently been reduced to one lane due to on-going construction and used a portable traffic signal to control two-way traffic.

Investigators also determined that the operator was riding without a valid driver’s license.
