
Two people have died from injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle crash on Cape Cod.
According to police, on Thursday, at just after 9:30 pm, Brewster Police and Brewster Fire/Rescue were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Main Street (Route 6A) in the area of Crosby Lane.
Upon arrival, responding personnel located two motor vehicles that had been involved in what appeared to be a head on collision. Both vehicles were occupied by the operators, with no additional passengers.
One of the operators, a 24-year-old female from Brewster, was found to be deceased at the scene. The other operator, a 38-year-old male from Truro, was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. He did not survive the injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at the hospital.
Main Street was closed for several hours while the scene was being documented and the crash investigated. Brewster Police are being assisted by the Massachusetts State Police and the Barnstable County Sheriffs Office BCI Unit with the investigation. Mass DOT and the Orleans Police Department also provided assistance at the scene.
Police stated that the names of those involved are not being released at this time.
