Woman facing life-threatening injury after jumping out of car in Fall River
A woman is dealing with serious injuries after an incident on New Year’s Eve.
A call came into dispatch at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Thursday concerning an incident at Rodman Street and Hartwell Street.
According to Lieutenant Jay Huard, patrol units responded to the scene where a 31-year-old female passenger of a vehicle abruptly jumped from the vehicle.
The woman was involved in a verbal argument with the driver at the time of the conflict.
The jumper struck her head on the pavement after exiting the vehicle.
The victim lost consciousness and sustained a potentially life-threatening head injury, according to Huard. She was then transported by Fall River EMS to Rhode Island Hospital.
