Rosemary Heath wants the memories of her husband and to keep his spirit alive. Because he did not set the legacy option on his Facebook profile, she is locked out of his profile.

As you may recall, on May 10, 2016, her husband George, a New Bedford school teacher, was killed at the Taunton Galleria as he was stabbed to death heroically trying to protect a pregnant waitress.

She is still on a quest, over a year later, for Facebook  to make a listed spouse or partner a default legacy person.  Facebook could then notify if someone is attempting to memorialize the account.

She is even stating that Facebook has shut down the pages of some Las Vegas shooting victims.

This is her petition to get Facebook to change their rules. If you are interested in signing, copy and paste this link.

In the mean time, talk to your partner or spouse to make sure this doesn’t happen to you.
