Whirlpool Fall River gives local officials inside look of new multi-load washer line
The Whirlpool Corporation manufacturing facility in Fall River began “making it here” long before the city picked up the clever slogan.
The 300,000 square foot location at 88 Currant Road (formally ADC) has been building and selling laundry products to distributors all over the world for decades and their brand new product line was on display in a behind the scenes tour for media and local officials on Thursday.
The new Maytag multi-load washer product line is a few years in the making and the result is a group of front load washers that support a strong customer demand for quality commercial laundry equipment.
“The Fall River facility allows us to expand our product capabilities and to provide our customers in the vended and on premises laundry markets with options for greater flexibility and control,” said Trey Northrup, general manger of Commercial Laundry and JennAir® for Whirlpool Corporation. “With this capacity, we are able to be more nimble in our product offerings, delivering customized products and compelling solutions to our global customers.”
The soft and rigid mount washers are designed to handle heavy loads of laundry in 20-65 lb. sizes. The Maytag® Multi-Load Washer will be available in the 30lb. rigid mount this October with the remaining models being introduced in the coming months.
Some of the product highlights include:
– A Wi-Fi enabled system that allows operators and laundromat owners the ability to manage and monitor the machines in real time even when they are away.
– Flexible, revenue generating controls that are user friendly and customizable.
– Intelligent controls and customizable cycle settings.
– Powerful wash unit that allows heavy loads and durability to help increase the longevity and output of the equipment.
With new innovative laundry products like these, it is safe to say that Whirlpool Fall River will be “making it here” for years to come.
