Which is your favorite? You have the power to decide Fall River’s new logo
(FALL RIVER, MA – At a press conference, Mayor Paul Coogan announced a public vote to select the next City of Fall River logo. The six designs included in the vote are finalists selected from September’s open call for logo designs. Residents can vote online at https://www.fallriverma.org/contest/, where full portfolios of each design can also be viewed. In-person voting will be available at the Fall River Public Library, the Viva Fall River Pop-Up shop (South Main & Columbia) and in the lobby of Government Center.
Additional physical voting locations will be announced via City social media.
During the first phase of the logo design contest, over 200 residents, ranging from students to professionals, submitted their designs. The entries were then evaluated by a panel of residents, artists, City leaders and business owners who were invited by the Mayor to serve on the Website Redesign & Rebranding Advisory Committee.
The six winning artists were then invited to meet with a graphic designer to modify their entry to meet the specific needs of the City. The vote includes the edited version of each logo in black and white. Residents are encouraged to explore the contest webpage at https://www.fallriverma.org/contest/ to see the designs in color as well as mockups of each design on items like banners, stickers, shirts and more.
The winner of the public vote will be announced later this year. The winning artist will receive a $500 prize, sponsored by Mayor Paul Coogan.
Questions about the contest can be sent to the Mayor’s Office at mediarelations@fallriverma.org.

Maybe if we pick the right logo our potholes will be magically filled. We will have a resurgence in our manufacturing base and property taxes will drop 49%. Great work Coogan Administration, before you know it we’ll be talking about Lizzie Borden again and Marc Munroe Dion will be back at the Herald News and WSAR. Some things will never change around here.
