Westport male issued summons after allegedly exposing himself
The Westport Police Department has issued their findings concerning an alleged disturbing incident in town.
According to Westport Police, on August 19, 2021, police received a complaint in the area of 300 Old County Road of a young male who exposed himself to a 59-year-old woman.
Police responded and spoke with the victim who detailed the event that had had just occurred.
She told police she was walking down the road and saw a white Lexus driving slow in her direction. The vehicle pulled into her driveway and stopped with the passenger window down. She asked the juvenile if he needed help and he pointed in the direction of his lap where she observed him exposing himself to her and playing with his genitalia.
While shocked, the female attempted to photograph the male who fled the area, striking a stonewall in the yard. A license plate was provided to the police who investigated the allegation.
A criminal summons was issued to a juvenile male for charges of Accosting, Open and Gross Lewdness and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage.
