Westport Friends Book Fair returning for first time since 2019 and it promises to be big
A popular summer event in the Fall River area is returning after a hiatus.
Having canceled the previous two annual Book Fairs due to the pandemic, Westport Friends are excited for the return of their Book Fair beginning on July 9, 2022.
The breakdown:
9:00 AM: Grounds and restrooms open to visitors.
10:00 AM: Hundreds of books at 6/$1.00 or 25¢ each, go on sale.
11:00 AM: Three huge main tents open with over 30,000 high quality books for sale.
7:00 PM: Grounds close for the night, but sale continues the next day, every day, through July 17!
Out of an abundance of caution and their desire to practice COVID safety, no refreshments will be offered for sale this year during opening day.
Payment Methods:
Cash or check accepted. Credit cards are accepted (MasterCard or Visa) the first two days of the sale only.
At 10:00 AM the 6 for a $1 section opens with hundreds of paperbacks!
The Book Fair on 938 Main Road is expected to be a big one this year as they have stopped accepting books until September due to the shed being full.
