Fall River man hits $1 million prize in Massachusetts State Lottery instant ticket game
A Fall River man is quite a bit richer after hitting it big on a scratch ticket and becoming one of the newest lottery winners.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Jason Almeida has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Diamonds 50X” instant ticket game.
Almeida chose to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).
He purchased his winning ticket at Swansea Mart located at 367 Wilbur Ave. in Swansea. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
