Westport Fair issues good news and announces dates for smaller event
Some good news for those who are a fan of the Westport Fair!
The Westport Fair Committee has announced details surrounding the smaller fair they plan to hold later this year.
“We are happy to announce that we will be having a smaller fair this October! Friday October 15 6pm-10pm, Saturday October 16 11am-7pm and Sunday 17 11am-4pm.”
“We are still in the early stages of planning. But for sure we will be having slab and farm tractor pulls, horseshoe tournament, our chicken BBQ and a family fun day.”
“We are looking forward to seeing you all in the fall for smaller event.”
Late last month, President Ron Potter announced that the Westport Fair Committee met and after much discussion it was voted not to hold the regular sized fair in July.
“We will, however, have a small fair in the fall of 2021. The fair committee looks forward to planning and seeing everyone once again.”
Back in May of 2020, the Executive Board of the Westport Fair revealed in a statement the results of a vote that canceled the annual Fair due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
