Wanted fugitive from Massachusetts arrested for giving woman unwanted kisses, hug
Police arrested a wanted Massachusetts man after accusations from a female victim.
According to Transit Police, on Thursday just before 12:30 p.m., Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District received a radio call to respond to the MBTA’s Park Street Station for a report of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers were met by a female victim who relayed the following: while standing near the Green Line fare gates a male, later identified as Emir Ikanovic, 33, of West Bridgewater, approached and wrapped his arms around the victim and kissed her on both cheeks. Ikonovic then proceeded to enter the trolley. According to the victim, Ikanovic did not say anything while hugging and kissing her.
Officers immediately proceeded to the trolley Ikanovic was on and removed him. Ikanovic asked the officers what he did wrong.
It was subsequently discovered there was an extraditable warrant in existence for Ikanovic’s arrest issued out of Rhode Island for fraud. Ikanovic was placed into custody for the warrant as well as new charges of Assault & Battery and transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
