It is a yearly Christmas display that is familiar to many in the Fall River area, and they are back again this year despite health issues.

According to Colleen St. Onge, her and her husband are back again with Lights for Lives.

“My husband and I have been dealing with some serious health issues that won’t go away. I have advanced MS and my knee replacement from 2 years ago never worked and I’ve been told I will never walk from it (and it’s extremely painful). That is just a piece of my health problems. My husband has heart problems, needs 2 new knees and recently damaged his right elbow pretty bad.

Despite all of their ailments, they are amazingly still putting on this year’s show.

“We have been thinking long and hard about the show and with just the two of us it seemed impossible, but it would have broken our hearts and we know the food banks are severely hurting (they collect for the food pantry). Most people are hurting one way or another. Plus, we have the BEST FANS EVER! So, we dug deep, prayed and plugged up. We will do our very best to make it magical, especially this year when we all need some hope and joy.”

The light show will run from Dec 1st – Jan 1st. Hours of operation Sunday – Thursday 4-9pm, Friday & Saturday 4-10pm. Santa will be there Fridays & Saturdays 6-9pm.

Children can go in the sleigh and Santa stands alongside so you can take your own pics for free!

Their Christmas light show contains over 65,000 lights synchronized to music.

You can watch and hear the show right in your car on 91.7 FM, however, the St. Onge family encourage everyone to walk through the walkways to get a real experience of the overall display.

Here is an example of some of the sights you will see at 84 Hayden Avenue in Tiverton.

Donations are never required to see the display, however, monetary donations are accepted which in years past have gone to Make-A-Wish Mass & RI to grant children who have faced serious illness a wish. The St. Onge family also typically collects non-perishables that will be donated to the Tiverton Food Pantry.
