Victim’s name released in fatal pedestrian crash on I-95 Thursday
Scituate, R.I. The Rhode Island State Police state that a pedestrian who was struck and killed on Interstate 95 early this morning has been identified as Alfonso Rodriguez, age 53. He was last known to be living in Providence.
A preliminary investigation revealed that he was struck by oncoming traffic in the northbound travel lanes on Interstate 95 near Exit 23 in Providence. The crash remains under investigation by troopers from the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Barracks and the Forensic Services Unit.
