Victim’s name released in fatal Friday Taunton crash
Police have released the name of a woman killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Taunton Friday evening.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Nicholas Lorenco indicates that at about 9:15 p.m., a 33-year-old Plymouth woman was traveling on Route 140 Northbound in a 2005 GMC Envoy when her vehicle collided with a 2013 Chrysler 200, which was turning left from Route 140 Southbound, across the northbound travel lanes, to enter the ramp for Route 24 Northbound.
The operator of the GMC Envoy and her 35-year-old male passenger, also from Plymouth, were transported to Morton Hospital in Taunton for treatment of minor injuries. The operator of the Chrysler, a 22-year-old Acushnet man, was also transported to Morton Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His passenger, Nicole Dondero, 21, of Lakeville, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time.
