Vice Unit arrests Fall River man on drug distribution charges
On Tuesday, January 30th at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Fall River Police Departments Vice and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant.
On Tuesday, January 30th at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Fall River Police Departments Vice and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at 27 Ninth Street apartment 2N in Fall River. Detective Luis Duarte was the lead detective and Jeremy C. Lynch was the target. Detective Duarte was assisted by Detectives Joshua Robillard, Gary Barboza, Steven Washington, Tryce Garrant, Richard Aguiar, James Elumba, Athans Parousis and Detective Sergeant Andrew Joseph.
During the execution of the search warrant, Detectives secured the occupant identified as Jeremy C. Lynch,27, and subsequently searched the apartment. During the search, Detective Barboza retrieved his K9 partner Capone to assist. With the assistance of K9 Capone, who is trained in the detection of different illegal substances, detectives located 2 plastic bags containing approximately 74 grams of suspected crack cocaine in an adjacent laundry room. A moderate sum of cash, a scale, and several empty plastic sandwich bags commonly used in packaging illegal narcotics were located within the apartment.
Lynch was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking in Cocaine.
