Another Massachusetts church has been a recent victim of vandalism.

On Friday morning, Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Ludlow discovered an act of vandalism at their lower Shrine. Someone lit the floral arch over Mary’s statue on fire.

The church released a statement asking to “please pray for whoever did this, that the hatred may be removed from their hearts.”

In October, both St Mary’s Cathedral and St Joseph Cupertino Independent Catholic Church in Fall River were victims of major vandalism.

In December, St. Mary’s was a victim once again as objects were thrown through stained glass windows.

In July, a Mary statue in Boston was set on fire.

If anyone should know or hear any information about who may have damaged the statue in Ludlow, contact the rectory at (413) 583-2312 or contact the Ludlow Police Department at (413) 583-8305.
