Two transported to the hospital, one cited, after crash into home in Fall River
Two were injured, one of which was cited, after a crash into a home on Sunday evening in Fall River.
According to Deputy Chief Barden Castro, at just after 8:45 p.m., Fall River Police responded to the intersection of Robeson and Maple Streets for a two-vehicle crash where one of the involved vehicles collided with a fence and came to rest against a house at that intersection after the collision.
It was determined that a Honda mini-van travelling east on Maple Street had entered the Robeson Street intersection without stopping at the posted stop sign. This caused a Lexus being operated north on Robeson Street to strike the passenger side of the Honda.
The 16-year-old driver of the Honda and his 19-year-old male passenger were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment. The driver went to St. Anne’s in Fall River while the passenger was brought to St. Luke’s in New Bedford.
The 21-year-old male driver of the Lexus declined medical treatment at the scene of the crash.
The 16-year-old driver of the Honda was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a posted sign.
