Providence, R.I. (April 12, 2024) – Pursuant to Rhode Island General Law § 42-72-8(c), the Department of Children, Youth & Families is disclosing the fatality of a three-day-old baby.
The incident occurred on April 11, 2024, and DCYF has notified the Office of the Child Advocate.
Due to continentality laws, DCYF did not reveal any additional information.

Rhode Islanders are required by law to report known or suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to DCYF within 24 hours of becoming aware of such abuse/neglect.
