Two sent to the hospital after car crashes into multiple utility poles on Route 77
Two people were sent to the hospital after a car crashed into multiple utility poles Wednesday on Route 77.
According to the Little Compton Fire Department, LCFD responded to West Main Road, north of Peckham Road, for a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, crews found a single car crash into multiple utility poles.
The vehicle occupants were out of the vehicle prior to the arrival of the fire department.
An investigation determined that the vehicle operator left the roadway and struck a utility pole breaking it in multiple places, before striking a second utility pole.
The Westport Fire Department was contacted, and an additional rescue was requested to transport a second passenger. Both occupants were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
