Two Rhode Island men held, facing felony counts, in Massachusetts home invasion
Brockton Police have apprehended a second suspect in connection with a home invasion on January 19th on the 100 block of Belair Street.
According to Brockton PD, Detectives, through investigative efforts, have collected evidence and clues since the incident. This helped them obtain an arrest warrant for Edilio Agustin-Orellana of Providence last week.
With the assistance of Rhode Island State Police and federal marshals, Brockton Police Detectives arrested the 41-year-old at his apartment in Providence.
This week, he faced a judge and was formally charged in Brockton.
Agustin-Orellana faces several felony counts including Home Invasion, four counts of Kidnapping, and four counts of Intimidating a Witness.
In addition to Agustin-Orellana, police had previously arrested the alleged getaway vehicle’s driver soon after the Brockton home invasion as Massachusetts State Police and Attleboro Police stopped a truck on 95 South near Route 123 that day.
22-year-old Cesar Sosa of Providence faces the exact charges as Augustin-Orellana. They are both being held pending a dangerousness hearing.
