Two police K9s help arrest three from Pennsylvania in Rhode Island UPS burglary

Two local canines and their handlers helped capture several out-of-state burglary suspects recently.

According to police, during the early morning hours of April 2nd, the Warwick Police Department responded to 150 Plan Way, the Warwick UPS Hub for a burglary in progress.

Upon arrival at the scene, uniformed patrol officers of the third platoon and the Rhode Island State Police established a large perimeter due to the fact the suspects had fled from the scene.

RISP K9 Trooper Brad Nuhn and his partner K9 Miel and K9 Officer Tim Lipka and his partner K9 Haki conducted simultaneous tracks of the area. K9 Haki was able to track all 3 subjects that fled and were all apprehended by Officer Lipka and Haki without incident.

18-year-old Shamaire Brown of Philadelphia, Pa and 19-year-old Aboudramane Karamoko of Philadelphia, Pa were charged with breaking/entering of business. Also apprehended was a 16-year-old from Philadelphia, Pa who was charged with breaking/entering of a business, obstructing an officer in the execution of duties, and fugitive from justice.
