Two nursing assistant’s licenses suspended; one accused of sexually assaulting patient, another of doing cocaine in patient’s room
Two nursing assistants recently saw their licenses suspended. One is accused of sexually assaulting a patient while another allegedly had cocaine and materials in a patient’s room.
Kebba Njie, who has been licensed as a Nursing Assistant in Rhode Island since May 24, 2016, recently came before the Rhode Island Department of Health, Division of Customer Services, Center for Professional Boards and Licensing alleging that he had engaged in unprofessional conduct.
According to the complaint, on or about January 4, 2023, and January 6, 2023, RIDOH received notices that Njie sexually assaulted a patient on or about January 1, 2023, while providing care to her while working for Greenwood Center in Warwick, RI.
Njie’s suspension is active until further notice.
Ebony Igle, who has been licensed as a Nursing Assistant in Rhode Island since May 15, 2009, recently came before the Rhode Island Department of Health, Division of Customer Services, Center for Professional Boards and Licensing alleging that she had engaged unprofessional conduct pursuant.
According to the complaint, on or about December 31, 2022, RIDOH received notice that Igle admitted that items found on a table in a patient’s room consisting of a white powdery substance, a mirror, and a razor blade, did belong to her. Testing of the white powdery substance determined it to be cocaine.
Igle was employed by Grand Islander Center in Middletown, RI at the time of the incident.
Igle’s suspension is active until further notice.
