Two men, one from Fall River, arrested in murder of Taunton man

Two men have been arrested in a weekend murder.

District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III has announced arrests in the stabbing death of Justin Paulo. 19 year old Jerome Middleton of Fall River was arrested in Brockton at approximately 11:00 today on charges of Murder and Armed Robbery. 24 year old Khaylon Cruz of New Bedford was also arrested on Murder and Armed Robbery charges at the Dartmouth Inn in New Bedford at approximately 8:30 am today. The victim, identified as 31 year old Justin Paulo of Taunton, was stabbed at approximately 11:15 on January 5, 2019 and died of those injuries on January 6, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. It also appears that a firearm was used during the incident by the suspects. During the commission of the crime the victim’s personal property was stolen by the suspects. Both defendants will be arraigned in the Taunton District Court either this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

At approximately 11:15 pm on Saturday, January 5, the Taunton Police Department received a 911 call for an assault at 9A Wilson Street in the City of Taunton. When police arrived, the they determined that the injured party was no longer on scene and had been transported to Morton Hospital and then med-flighted to Rhode Island Hospital due to his injuries.
