Officials are investigating after two people were seriously injured in Fall River Tuesday.
According to Captain Barden Castro, at approximately 11:47 a.m., Fall River Police and Fire Departments responded to the 200 block of South Main Street for a reported building collapse.
As police began to investigate, it was determined that loose bricks had fallen from the roof of the building striking two pedestrians below.
A 25-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were both transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The 34-year-old male’s injuries are described as critical, but stable at this time, according to Castro.
Reports state that the 25-year-old man is in stable condition.
Police, Fire, OSHA, and the City of Fall River Building Inspector are on scene investigating the incident.
