Three people escaped serious injury from a three-car crash Friday night.

At 8:02 p.m., Brockton Fire was alerted to a motor vehicle crash with entrapment at Ash Street and Belmont Street.

On arrival, responders found a three car crash with one occupant trapped in a vehicle that was on its side.

According to Brockton Police, a Maserati ran the stoplight at the intersection and collided with a Ford Escape traveling east on Belmont. The impact caused the SUV to roll over and the Maserati to hit a Toyota Camry that stopped at the light. The Maserati then struck a front porch on Ash Street. The driver fled on foot.

Brockton Firefighters used extrication equipment to remove the 56-year-old Weymouth man from the Ford Escape.

Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and removed a portion of the roof in order to remove the occupant.

Firefighters also stabilized a roof that had its supports knocked out when a vehicle hit it.

Brewster Ambulance personnel transported the Weymouth man and the 52-year-old woman from Brockton, driving the Camry to Good Samaritan Medical Center for an evaluation.

If anyone has information on this case, call the Massachusetts State Police.
