Two high school students suffer life threatening injures in Route 28 crash Tuesday
A serious crash Tuesday morning has left two teens fighting for their life.
According to Bourne Police, at approximately 7:19 a.m., Bourne Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on MacArthur Blvd/Route 28 North, north of Barlows Landing Road.
The crash involved a Toyota Tacoma that had slid off the roadway into a tree.
The operator and passenger, ages 14 and 17, are students at the Upper Cape Technical Vocational School.
The Bourne Fire Department used mechanical means to free the two students.
Both students were transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island with life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
The roads were being treated, but were icy at the time of the crash.
