Two Fall River officers injured in coffee mug attack
Two Fall River police officers were hospitalized Tuesday evening after being attacked by a man with a coffee mug.
A call came in for a report of a man that was being disruptive in a yard on Dudley St. The officers responded to the residence at about 5:45 p.m.
The suspect became combative toward the officers and struck one in the head with the mug. The mug then shattered as a result.
An altercation ensued and the second officer was cut by pieces of the shattered mug during the scuffle.
The officers were treated at Charlton Memorial Hospital and are expected to be ok.

What a waste of a good cup of coffee. Did the attacker also throw a box of Boston cream donuts to go along with the coffee mug?
