Two charged by Fall River Police in Tuesday stabbing, assault at convenience store
Two have been charged in a Tuesday evening assault and stabbing in Fall River.
According to Detective John Robinson, on Tuesday October 16th, Fall River Police Department Uniform Division Officers Michael Tetrault and Raul Camara responded to a local hospital regarding a stabbing victim identified as Dwayne Rucker age 44.
Rucker stated he got into a verbal confrontation with two females as he was entering Kam’s Food Mart located at 376 Second Street. Rucker further relayed as he entered the store, he observed one of the females to be armed with a knife. The female subsequently attacked him at which time he sustained two stab wounds – one to the mouth, the other to his ribs. Rucker stated he then retreated outside where he armed himself with a club. Rucker re-entered the store and struck both females. The armed female, identified as Briana Aguiar, was located at a local hospital. Aguiar stated she exchanged heated words in the parking lot with Rucker, who then chased her into the store and struck her with a club.
Aguiar was placed under arrest on a charge of Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife).
Due to his injuries, Rucker will be summoned to court on charges of Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (club) – 2 counts, and one count of Assault and Battery.
