Two arrested concerning shooting outside South Coast Massachusetts convenience store, one had active warrants
New Bedford, MA — Police have made two arrests in connection with a shooting outside of a Brock Avenue convenience store.
Officers responded to the shooting at around noon on February 15th. No injuries were reported; however, a vehicle sustained damage before fleeing the scene.
As a result of the investigation that followed, Detective Jessica Niccoli secured an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Danielson Varela. He was located on February 23rd by patrol officers and taken into custody without incident.
Varela was charged with firing a gun within 500 feet of a building, assault and battery by firearm, and destruction of property.
He is currently being held without bail at the Dartmouth House of Correction.
A 16-year-old juvenile from Brockton is also under arrest in relation to the same incident.
The juvenile already had a warrant out of Plymouth County for an open firearm case and is now charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, assault and battery by firearm, and destruction of property.
The investigation remains active, and additional suspects are being sought.

Active warrants not old enough to process firearms. These are the cases that morons like Cindy Creem and David Linsky quote when passing unconstitutional firearm laws on law abiding citizens all the while their soft-on-crime judges and D/As let them out to reoffend. They allow this to happen so they can consolidate their power
