Two arrested after motor vehicle theft in Dartmouth
DARTMOUTH, MA – On Sunday, January 26, 2020 at approximately 5:57 p.m., Dartmouth Police received a call regarding the sighting of a vehicle which had been stolen earlier in the day from a residence in Dartmouth.
While checking the area of the Dartmouth Towne Center, Officer Timothy Riley located both the vehicle and the witness.
While speaking with the witness, Officer Riley learned that both of the alleged suspects fled towards TJ Maxx.
Upon the arrival of additional officers, the area was searched, and the two suspects were located near TJ Maxx.
As a result of the incident, and corresponding investigation, Dartmouth Police arrested Jacqueline Morris, 36, of Pleasant Street, New Bedford, MA, and charged her with two counts of leaving the scene of a crash, larceny of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Dartmouth Police also arrested Steven Vieira, 42, of Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, MA, and charged him with larceny of a motor vehicle.
