Twin brothers killed in fatal crash on Christmas Eve on Route 195
Twin brothers were tragically killed in a Christmas Eve crash on Route 195.
Just after 11:00 a.m., responders arrived on the scene of a serious crash on Route 195 in Mattapoisett near mile marker 32.
According to NBC 10, Alberto and Ruddy Morales, 33, of Pawtucket were in a Honda Accord that was found in the median on the westbound side of I-195.
Both were pronounced dead after being transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.
According to MassDOT, the crash blocked two lanes for over two hours as officials investigated the incident.
A GoFundMe was recently created for funeral expenses by those who knew the brothers.
“We are all devastated by Ruddy & Alberto’s loss. Their parents were not prepared to lose their sons so unexpectedly. They are also not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Ruddy and Alberto the memorial they deserve, to honor their memory and say our last goodbyes.”
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
