Troopers resuscitate an unresponsive man on Route 495 in Foxboro
Two Massachusetts State Troopers helped save the life of a man this week.
According to Massachusetts State Police, on Wednesday, January 16 at about 5:50 a.m., Trooper’s Scott Ryans and Shane O’Reilly from the State Police-Foxboro Barracks responded to reports of an unconscious man inside a vehicle on Route 495 south near Exit 13 in Foxboro. Upon their arrival, troopers found a 63 year-old man from Bellingham unresponsive and without a pulse. The troopers removed the victim from the vehicle and quickly began administering cpr on the victim.
Trooper Ryans retrieved an AED or automated defibrillator from his cruiser, which the troopers used to restore the victims heartbeat and began breathing on his own. The victim was transported via ambulance to an area hospital for further treatment.
Members of the Foxboro Fire and Plainville Fire Departments assisted the troopers at the scene.
