The trust, represented by trustee Hyman Darling, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $19,635,669 (before taxes). The prize was claimed Thursday, October 28th at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters. When asked how the name of the trust was chosen, Darling said that the winner named it after someone they know who reminds them of Mr. Potato Head.

To win the Megabucks jackpot, players must match all six numbers in the drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at King Mart, 494 Westfield Rd. in Holyoke. The store receives a $50,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

Megabucks is a progressive jackpot game only available in Massachusetts. Megabucks drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at retail locations across the state or online at masslottery.com or on the Mass Lottery app.
