Tribute concert, rock painting, picnic, vaccine clinic, ukulele lessons and more happening this week in Fall River

Come cool off at the library this week! Hours are 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Friday with free wifi, plus lots of good books and magazines to read.

Check out some of this week’s events:

ALL WEEK – Kids can pick up a take-home sunflower craft in the Children’s Room. Available free while supplies last.

TUESDAY, 8/9: Teddy Bear Picnic, 11 am-noon. Note: in case of rain, this outdoor event will take place on Friday, August 12.

WEDNESDAY, 8/10:
-Vaccine clinic, 3-7 pm;
-Teen Magic the Gathering Meetup, 5-7 pm;
-Ultimate Tribute Concert at Heritage State Park, 6 pm (weather permitting) Experience a night of musical legends as acclaimed tribute performer Robert Black performs the hit songs of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Roy Orbison, and more!

THURSDAY, 8/11:
-Rock Painting with RivaRocks, 1 pm;
-BEAM games for kids, 4-5 pm;
-Ukulele Campfire Songs (for kids), 6-6:45 pm;
-Learn Ukulele (for teens & adults), 7 pm.

FRIDAY, 8/12:
-Teen Board Games, 1-2 pm.
-Also rain date for Teddy Bear Picnic (11 am-12 pm), if needed.

This is also the week to sign up for upcoming programs such as the Indigo Dyed Scarf Workshop on August 18 (for adults) and the Candle Making Workshop on August 24 (for teens). For more info, and to view a full library event calendar, visit fallriverlibrary.org.
