Tiverton and Fall River Fire Departments had a messy situation on Wednesday.
Wednesday morning, Tiverton and Fall River Fire responded to the area of State Avenue and Main Road for a garbage truck on fire.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from a trash truck.
The load of garbage had to be dumped in an open parking lot and the fire was extinguished.
After the trash fire was extinguished it was loaded into a truck and hauled away.
