Tiverton Police Department looking into removable speed bumps
The Tiverton Police Department is asking for public input on a new intiative to help with driving complaints.
TPD is looking into starting a “traffic calming” initiative in Town. The department has received numerous complaints from residents for locations all over town concerning speeding and stop sign violations. Tiverton Police would like to target an area with education (speaking with the neighbors) and enforcement along with installing rubberized and removable speed bumps at intersection / stop sign locations to remind people to stop and slow down.
The department is looking to get feedback from residents prior to making a formal presentation to the Town.
If you are interested in giving Tiverton Police your feedback, you can contact them on their Facebook page.
If you could have a rubber speed bump installed in your city or town, where would you have it placed?
