Three more pull nomination papers in Fall River recall election

The potential field for the Fall River recall election set for March 12th has grown even larger this week.

Three more names have surfaced as potential candidates to try and claim the head job on the sixth floor.

On Tuesday January 8th, local radio personality and musician Aaron Ferreira pulled nomination papers.

On Friday January 11th, one current and one former Fall River City Councilor became possible competition to unseat Mayor Correia.

Dan Rego served two terms on the City Council after being elected in 2011. Rego lost re-election in 2015.

Long time current City Councilor and former Council President Joe Camara also pulled nomination papers.

This makes eight who have pulled papers. Ferreiera, Rego, and Camara join Mayor Correia, School Committee member Paul Coogan, former Fall River City Councilor and School Committee member Kyle Riley, Ronald Gagnon, and Luis Cabral.

Thursday January 17th is the final day to pull nomination papers. Completed papers with the needed 300 certified signatures must be turned in by January 22nd.
