Three arrested from Fall River, New Bedford in Fall River home invasion, bullet casings found

FRPD have arrested a trio in a city home break-in with more charges pending.

According to Fall River Police, at approximately 9:30 AM on November 7th, 2019, Uniformed Officers of the Fall River Police Department were dispatched to a Division Street residence in response to a house break-in in progress. On arrival, Officer Michael Morin spoke to the 58-year-old resident who stated he and his 28-year-old son were home when the front door to the apartment was kicked in, a male and female entered, and upon seeing the resident and his son, both fled, running to a waiting black Ford F-150 occupied by another male. The father and son were able to give detailed descriptions of the suspects.

Shortly after the description was broadcast to other patrolling units, the F-150 was spotted speeding east on Mount Hope Avenue from Bay Street operated by the female and was subsequently stopped by Officer Keith Pires and Christopher Rocha. All three suspects were positively identified by the victims and taken into custody.

Bullet casings were observed on the floorboard of the F-150. The F-150 was impounded, Officer Morin applied for and received a search warrant on November 8th. During the search of the truck, a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun was located under the front passenger seat.

Jenna R. Bean age 30 of 2108 Phillips Road New Bedford MA. is charged with B&E Building Daytime for Felony, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Vandalize Property, Possession of Ammunition w/o FID card.

Carlos Ivan Soria age 34 of 176 Division Street #2 Fall River MA is charged with B&E Building Daytime for Felony, Vandalize Property, and Possession of Ammunition w/o FID card.

Felix Alexander Cortes age 32 of 611 Chicago Street Fall River MA is charged with B&E Building Daytime for Felony, Vandalize Property, and Possession of Ammunition w/o FID card.

Additional firearms charges are pending.
