Roofing Installation Crew – Rhode Island Solar Solutions (Swansea)
$18 to $25/hour

We provide best-in-class full-service solar solutions, from assessment, pricing, design, financing and incentive assistance, installation, follow-up, maintenance and repair. We are anticipating exponential growth in interest in both residential and commercial solar power.

What Are Roofing Installation Crew (Installers) Do?
Our installers have the highest standards of safety and quality panel installations of residential and commercial PV systems to ensure that they conform and go beyond existing national and local building codes. Our installation team strictly follows our successful and established protocol for the proper installation and final operation of our solar systems and interacts professionally and effectively with the customer.

Responsibilities:
• Working safely at all times is number one!
• Working at ground level installation or heights on roof installations.
• Safely install and remove anchor points on roofs and work heights for safety lanyards and harnesses.
• Install feet and rails of the roof
• Assemble the racking and solar array
• Assemble equipment along with properly sealing all roof penetrations
• Install flashing for penetrations to protect the roof
• Install rackmount systems on the roof to secure panels
• Assists with overall crew and job site safety; staging materials, general ground support, and general site preparation and site and installation vehicle clean-up
• Maintain tools and equipment to company standards.
• For all roof top and electrical work, training and supervision is provided at all times by a licensed electrician.

Required:
• High School diploma or GED
• A current valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Experience working on roofs and/or construction work, framing, etc.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools and ability to handle ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, roofing materials etc.
• Capable of working at heights including roof tops, climbing ladders and stairs
• OSHA 10 training within 30 days
• All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen .
• Willing to works extra hours when necessary to reach job completion.
• Passionate about renewable energy and an interest in reducing our carbon footprint.
