Immigration Admin Assistant – Catholic Social Services
40 hours per week (Monday-Thursday)
Subject to change and modification as needed, subject to approval of legal director
Job Activities:
CSS Fall River’s Immigrant Victims Representation Project (IVRP) works with low-income immigrant victims of abuse, exploitation and other crimes.
CSS Fall River’s Immigration Legal Education and Advocacy Project (ILEAP) conducts community legal education and represents low-income immigrants in deportation defense and applications for immigration benefits.
Qualifications:
• Written and spoken Spanish and English required
• Capable of using Microsoft Word
• Extremely well organized
• Attention to detail
• Cultural competency
• Strong commitment to client confidentiality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High school degree or equivalent
Preferred:
• Basic knowledge of immigration processes
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Basic Portuguese
• Relevant experience
